Here are the Free-Reading activities for Phonological Awareness: helping students to recognize and manipulate parts of spoken language, including words, syllables, onsets, rimes, and phonemes. Click here to find out how to add your activity.
Note that a crucial subset of Phonological Awareness is the focus on phonemes -- the smallest units of sound that make a difference to meaning. This is known as Phonemic Awareness. Critical Phonemic Awareness skills are blending and segmenting the sounds in spoken words.
